About
My mother, Bonnie, was always a central figure in my life. She was a strong and mighty 5'3" who was a confident and loving woman. She taught me how to live my life with both dignity and humility and a lot of spice and sass. Her spirit is at the core of everything I do, including my jewelry designs and business, the Pink Peony.
Every spring my mother would fill our house with her beloved peonies that she would cut from various places around our small home town. Every table, shelf, and fireplace mantel contained vases overflowing with shades of white, pink, and burgundy. Their sweet smell permeated our home. She especially loved the pink ones and often marveled at their delicate yet bold petals. One's eyes couldn't help but notice those soft, pink petals that somehow stood out from the lighter and darker ones. I too have come to love peonies and always think of her when I fill my home with that sweet smell every spring. My love for her and these beautiful flowers serve as an organizing principal for this business--to surround ones' self with quiet beauty that takes your breath away IF you take the time to look.

The jewelry I create and design can be unique and strong or quiet and delicate...just like those pink peonies. Similar to my mother, I also believe that jewelry should tell a story and be unique to one’s individuality. My jewelry designs pay homage to my mom and this sentiment.
I hope you too come to love the Pink Peony.
